Nautica Voyage isn’t a beast in terms of sillage, it’s moderate, but performs well overall for a scent of this category and price. Meanwhile, Sport is just mediocre. In the case of projection, I have noticed a similar trend. Voyage lasts evidently longer than N-83.

N-83 is a beautiful, clean, and soapy sort of scent pretty plain and straightforward, which opens with a striking blast of sea accord, giving it a defined oceanic salty smell and can remind wearers of cool ocean breezes. Figure out cold seawater splashing against your face and surrounding yourself with the ocean's unique scent. That delicate sea notes combine with spicy mint and petitgrain to create an outdoorsy redolence. To me, at this stage, it is less similar to the original Voyage, which has citrus fruit notes, including orange. Nevertheless, N-83 is fresh and clean, with a tinge of slight licorice aroma that is not present in the original.While not the biggest offender, N-83 falls short of what Voyage offers. So, between the two, Voyage has a better projection. This is much more of a starter cologne for guys, so, it can be a good option for younger men. If you’re older, its going to be of a fairly limited use, and you should consider going up-market for something better. The oceanic fragrance with the added citrus notes feels bright and rejuvenating. The oakmoss, amber and cedar ground the perfume and tie all the accords together, creating a fine balance. Really, it’s quite amazing how such an inexpensive fragrance like Voyage, has set itself apart from almost anything else on the market. Nothing smells exactly like it and even its flankers, don’t strike the same chord.

The sillage is skin close well perceptible, but the perimeter does not get much with and that is here unfortunately also the big weak point. Greenish, floral, musky, but refreshing. Voyage is usually interesting, despite not being among my favorite fragrances to wear. Due to their affordability, if you are into marine scents, you can actually get yourself both scents. Nautica Blue is very fruity with a harsh detergent opening. As it dries down, it consists of woods and musk with light touches of florals. It has Nautica’s signature musk but differs in almost all notes.

Voyage isn’t super powerful but it is noticeable and projects pretty well. I’ve noticed that a lot of the Nautica flankers don’t match up to even the decent sillage of Nautica Voyage. Which is a shame, because some of the better smelling ones could be nice cheapies. Voyage Sport aims to hit the same notes as its predecessor. No real advantage as to when either should be worn.
