As much as fifteen percent abv is lost every year to the angel’s share, thus it is unwise to mature it for much more than a few years, lest the product drops below forty percent abv and ceases to be whisky.

But this was the first full bottle I have ever purchased, and I was very pleasantly surprised as I sipped from it a little each evening for a few nights. Nose: Almost smells like plain white grape juice, barely getting any alcohol off of it and it is close enough that it is nearly going up my nostrils.
